Undergraduate students of Ace Institute of Management, organized Ace Ignite; A 48-hour hackathon with a rationale to unleash the potential of aspiring innovators in Nepal.

This one-of-a-kind event was attended by 100+ participants from 45 colleges within the country. The event was supported by national and international sponsors such as Github, Devfolio, Taskade, Microsoft Student Learn Ambassador, Polygon, Worldlink, Makuse, Saral Lagani. The 48 hour long hard work brought amazing solutions to the problems that were presented.

Prajwal Shrestha, the event lead says that, “Seeing the young minds from diverse field working together to create innovative solutions that actually solved the problem led the team to a conclusion that “Yes, we Did” “Yes, we Will” and “Yes, we Can” change the world for the better. Further, the enthusiasm of the participants did ignite the flame at the end”.

Benzin Dahal, one of the mentors said that, “It was an amazing experience seeing youths collaborating in a single platform to create such an amazing innovation that addresses a real-world problem. The best thing about the hackathon was that they were not just limiting them to their innovations but working hard to get their innovations into the hands of people who are in need.”

Mr. Aabhushan Jyoti Kansakar

Mr. Aabhushan Jyoti Kansakar is one of the panelists of the Entrepreneurial Yatra happening tomorrow.

Aabhushan Jyoti is the young and dynamic CEO of Deba Jyoti Group. It is a conglomerate that was established in 1965, within its umbrella sits Jeevee, an e-commerce site that has been operating successfully in the Nepali market since its commencement, with a focus on skincare, beauty, and baby care. Aabhusan aims to make Nepal’s e-commerce market economic, accessible, and reliable with Jeevee.Do not miss out on a chance to closely interact with him and learn more about his journey so far.

Ms. Shailaja Adhikary

Ms. Shailaja Adhikary is one of the panelists of the Entrepreneurial Yatra happening tomorrow.

Shailaja is a very well-known figure in both the field of Fashion and Education. She’s a visionary who changed the face of Nepal by introducing Fashion and Interior Design Education i.e IEC and an international pre-school chain i.e Euro Kids in Nepal. She is currently serving as the president of FDCN ( Fashion Design Council of Nepal ) along with serving as the Managing Director of 12 prominent educational institutions in Nepal. It is needless to say that she has been a proud recipient of various prestigious awards in her career. Learn more about her vision and her plans for the future in tomorrow’s session.

Mr. Bilal Ahmed Shah

Mr. Bilal Ahmed Shah is one of the panelists of the Entrepreneurial Yatra happening tomorrow.

Bilal, CEO – Latido Leathers, had embarked on a singular journey of self-discovery, learning, ongoing re-imagination, re-interpretation, and growth with Latido after leaving his bachelor’s program in engineering as a naïve, frustrated kid.

The concept of Latido which began as a ferocious cry for help in finding one’s professional identity is now a reality. Through its creations, Latido aspires to motivate and empower people to live better lives and be better versions of themselves.

Ace Institute of Management successfully conducted Graduation Ceremony for the students of BBA and BBA-BI (cohort of 2016). The event started off with a welcome note from Mr. Ashish Tiwari, Principal & Director-Ace Institute of Management, and Executive Director- Ace International Business School. The welcome address was followed by a note from Mr. Ramesh Chauhan, Director, Ace Undergraduate School reminiscing his experiences with the graduating class. The Keynote Speaker of the evening Prof. Dr. Rajan Welukar, Vice-Chancellor, AURO University Mumbai, congratulated the graduating students and talked about the change that the graduates need to make moving forward into their professional careers and life. Prof. Welukar also shared three life lessons, which he said he had learned over the years.

The students were felicitated with personalized mementos as a part of celebrating their achievements. The faculty members of Undergraduate School were felicitated next with a token of appreciation for their continuous efforts. Like every year, the Best Graduating Student, one each from BBA and BBA-BI were declared. Ms. Sushmita Lamsal was awarded the Best Graduating Student of BBA-BI and Mr. Arjun Tamang was awarded the Best Graduating Student of BBA. The event ended with a vote of thanks from Ms. Sharmila Maharjan, Associate Director, Ace Undergraduate School.

Ascend Ace Start-up Center successfully conducted orientation program for the new cohort of 2021 on Saturday, July 10, 2021. The session was attended by 14 aspiring entrepreneurs who make 6 start-up teams with promising ideas. Moderator for the program, by Ms. Manisha Kattel, Business Associate, Ascend Ace Start-up Center, started by introducing the guests for the day.

The orientation started with a session by Mr. Avishek K. Karky, Director, Ascend Ace Start-up Center, which focused on an overview of this year’s schedule and introduction to the extraordinary list of mentors for the new cohort. The session was then followed by a session by Mr. Ashish Tiwari, Principal and Director, Ace Institute of Management and Ace International Business School, who talked about the immense opportunities of the Start-up Center and the value it brings to aspiring entrepreneurs. Along with that he also talked about the reason behind the starting Ace Start-up Center and gave insights to the new cohort on “How to make the most out of the Ascend Pre Incubation Program”. Mr. Tiwari’s session was followed by the session on the possibilities of seed funding to the right idea led by Mr. Siddharth Kedia, MD, Ace Institute of Management and Ace International Business School. He also touched upon how they can work on their ideas to make it to the investors preferred list.

Orientation for the new Cohort of MBA, MBA evening and EMBA for Spring intake 2021, was successfully completed on 4th of July 2021. The program was conducted online and was spread over 4 days which included two sessions for MBA morning and one session each for EMBA and MBA evening. We consider orientation program as an important event because it helps new students know each other and get oriented with the college and the program. And above all, they get to kick off the beautiful years of their life as Acers with a fun-filled interactive session that sets a tone for their years ahead at Ace.

Ace Toastmasters Club hosted it’s 25th meeting on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. The meeting was attended by Division O Director – Mr. Avish Acharya, Club Mentor – Mr. Pankaj Pradhananga, Ace Toastmasters Club members, and students of Undergraduate and Graduate school.

Toastmaster of the Evening, Ms. Manasi Parajuli started the meeting by introducing featured Speaker Sansrita Subedi who delivered her speech on “Reminiscing my childhood days” which was then followed by the guest speaker’s speech. The guest speaker for the meeting Mr. Ashish Tiwari, Principal/ Director, Ace Institute of Management talked about the immense positive impact of activities like these on students and took time to reminisce the initial days of inception of the Ace Toastmasters Club. He also thanked the members of the club for keeping up the great work and bettering themselves every day.

The meeting then proceeded with musical performance by Mr. Prabin Shrestha and after completion of scheduled activities, it ended with informal networking session.
